Originally from Australia and a graduate of Sydney's National Art School, Diana is a contemporary quilt artist whose work is shown in galleries in Australia and the United States. Her recent quilts integrate surface design techniques with silk screen images and reflect an interest in genealogy, nature and the landscape, a love of color, texture and geometric shapes.

In New York City schools, studios and museums, Diana draws on her art training, textile print design experience and teaching and parenting skills to introduce quilts to children of all ages as an exciting means of self-expression. She has taught in Project Read, a program designed to improve student literacy through the arts, and is currently teaching over two hundred and fifty fourth graders in the public schools with support from ArtsConnection.

Diana worked in London, and briefly in Paris, in textile design studios before coming to New York City with her New Zealand husband. Twenty-seven years -- and many quilts -- later, she is still here.
